东部黑冠长臂猿，是一种曾经在中国和越南广泛分布的长臂猿，原来认为是黑冠长臂猿的一个亚种，现在则专门列为一个种。是世界上25个最濒危的灵长类动物之一。面临的主要威胁是栖息地的缩小和偷猎。

地理分布 Distribution

东部黑冠长臂猿大约于20世纪50年代在中国大陆绝迹，现在在海南岛大约还有20头左右的野生的海南亚种。2002年，在越南发现了26头野生越南亚种，2005年估算有35-37只
